Happy Wednesday
Despite the heat yesterday I spent my of my day creating. First up the loom is set up with more of the usual prettier colours, I will share the colours soon but definitely more summery vibes.
But more so I was more determined to get a shawl off the hook as this one seemed to take forever.
I have another one partially started so I’ll maybe work on that later today.
Take care everyone, it’s a slightly cooler day for us here in Aberdeenshire.

Happy Tuesday
Possibly big the best day too be sharing a scarf as the heat’s rising already but oh well… here it is.
‘Dark Skies’ is off the loom thank goodness, this was one of those pieces that’s shows off handmade. From start to finish it was pretty doomed, I set my loom up wrong, hubby helped sort it but sadly the tension on one side just wasn’t right resulting in not a perfect edge. I still like the scarf but I don’t loved it.
I’ve put this on my website a bit cheaper to reflect the weave but honestly it could be worse.
I’ve brighter colours going on today and let’s see if my brain can function properly to not mess it up again.

Happy Monday
It’s going to be a busy week of appointments ahead and fitting on crafting when I can.
Yesterday we went out for a breakfast picnic 🧺 so of course I took some crochet, took photos and collected some little pieces of sea gems.
I also set the loom up again with very contrasting colours from yesterdays, I’ve also reordered in some colours so I can create that one again although not exactly the same.
I honestly never thought my woven scarves would prove so popular and I’m grateful for all the comments and support.
Stay safe and cool if your effected by the heat this week 😎

Happy Sunday
So from start to finish I throughly enjoyed weaving my latest scarf 🧣
The colours just sung to me, they are really are the prettiest.
I’ve named it ‘Summer Thistles’ as that’s the vibes it was giving me.
My scarves are designed and woven by myself, I rarely repeat the same colours or if I do it will always be slightly different.
This one is woven using acrylic and cotton yarns.

Happy Friday
I’ve always loved creating, from a child waiting for the empty fairy liquid bottle so I could complete a Blue Peter make, my nan teaching me to crochet, Art at school, becoming a florist too now.. with a hook, loom or a sharp stabbing needle. I’m in my happy place.
Not everything I make turns out right, crafting can be as frustrating as it is therapeutic.
But when life wakes you up at 4am what better thing to do than grab that needle and spend a few hours stabbing away at some random wool to create … a sheep 🐑
Yesterday I made this little chap I think his rather cute!
His 100% wool.
Now at The Portsoy Gift Box 🎁 waiting for a new home.

Hello
Still here just not had the best week after my last treatment but I’m still crocheting 🧶 or at least for the past two days I have been.
I finished this cardigan last night with shear determination, it’s a lovely shape with an almost waterfall style drape.
So I’ve named it Moors & Mountain Heathers. As I sat finishing it last night for some reason it reminded me of growing up surrounded by Devon views and exmoor then moving to Scotland with epic scenery and heather covered mountains.
This cardigan is made using an acrylic yarn and is a size L
It’s priced lower from my usual cardigans for one simple fact I seamed the sleeves the wrong way, the seam is on the outside. Not that you’d actually notice if I didn’t mention it!
I would make one again I think but maybe in a different yarn.
