In celebration of National Book Lovers day I wanted to share my book haul this week 📚 6 of the books I got with a Waterstones voucher I received when I left my previous job and the others I received for my birthday yesterday 😍

With this hot weather recently I’ve really got into my reading over crafting. Anyone else struggling to craft in this heat? Oh I am longing for cooler weather now and autumn to arrive, so I can cosy up with my books and yarn 🥰

Before I go can we just appreciate the sprayed edges of these two books, I cant get over how stunning they are. The top one is The Faraway Inn by Sarah Beth Durst and the other is The Dissection of a Murder by Jo Murray- Which I started immediately yesterday when I received it.

Now they’ve been gifted, I can show you what I created for my children’s teachers/my colleagues for end of school year gifts. I bought the candles from Dunelm and got my Cricut machine out to personalise them 🥰 Pretty chuffed with how they turned out. Lovely little gifts that didn’t cost the earth. Did you get creative with teachers gifts this year? Would love to hear what you made xXx

I’ve not done random acts of crochet for a while, so I thought while I was on holiday I would spread the love 🥰 The kiddies have had so much fun dropping 5 crochet bumble bee’s in Avoriaz⛷️We hope the people who find them enjoy the handmade happy bee’s and they brighten your day ☺️ xXx

I’ve been enjoying the first couple of days of half term working on my oldest WIP. I started this painting honeycomb shawl by back in Jan 2022 😳 Im using the gorgeous Norah George Yarns Harry Potter Blanket Club yarn. It’s the best hand dyed yarn but sadly she doesn’t dye anymore. So I’m always on the look out for her yarns on de-stash pages & Vinted now, so if you’ve got some that needs re homing…let me know 🤭 Whenever I pick up this project I love working on it, even when the rows are getting rather long, I don’t know why it’s taken me so long to complete. I will have this finished by the end of the year! I’m saying here so you can all hold me accountable! 🤣 I hope you’re having a lovely half term or if you don’t celebrate half term you just have a lovely week in general 🥰 xXx

Yesterday was non-uniform day at school for us so what better way than to go in handmade squishy cosy garments 😍 Hugo & Edie’s cardigan are Granny Hexi Cardigans using pattern and my top is Go Round Strawberry Oversized Sweater pattern by .up.shop I absolutely love these patterns, my jumper only took me 2 and a half days to make 😍 I’m already thinking about making another one 🤭 Hugo loves his puff sleeves on his cardigan, some of his friends even asked to try his cardigan on. Edie’s cardigan I made a while ago and it’s still a firm fav in her wardrobe 🥰 I love how knit worthy my children are. It’s half term holidays for us now and we’ve got a few things planned, hopefully I can squeeze some crafting time in there too 🤞🏼 xXx
