Failing that, ideas welcome as to what to do with it.

We are very fortunate to have an eclectic mix of shops in Ilfracombe High Street, visit The ATTIC or Pedlars Of Ilfracombe and while here, when was the last time you visited Bicclescombe Mill, a wonderful park, great cafe and free parking.

Combe Martin local interest book.
The Mighty Atom by Marie Corelli, First Edition 1896.

A nice reading copy. Set in the village of Combe Martin, it explores the spiritual corruption of a young lad subjected to a godless, materialistic education.

The novel was a massive success at the time and bought a wave of tourists to the village.

Sea Side Studies of Ilfracombe, Tenby, The Scilly Isles and Jersey by George Henry Lewes. 1858, First Edition.

Lovely leather bound edition of this book. The work helped popularise marine-tank hobbyism and Victorian natural science, blending accessible literary narrative with scientific curiosity about tide-pool creatures and coastal ecosystems.

Some nice observations of Ilfracombe for that period and a good book to drop of to sleep with….
