Something lovely about getting home, carpets never felt so squishy. Outside I missed a little less - Good thing about living in a building site is everything in the garden looked dead anyway long before any mention of a hosepipe ban. As you can see here I’m plotting where to start - the giant tub of emollient in the suitcase has leaked over everything so, errr…. not there! Ben’s immediately gone to bed feeling dire so I won’t be cooking. I think generally around holidays mums tear the arse out of it making sure everyone has a good time so perhaps it’s ok to sit and do nothing for a bit. I am though delighted to be back to get the shop open - we’ll be doing ‼️50% OFF SUMMER STOCK ‼️ from tomorrow. Open 10-4 and same again on Saturday. Next week I need to bang some hours in and make up for lost time too so I anticipate being in daily. I’ll formalise that asap 😘🌴🩷🍸🌊🏊‍♀️🐟 ###x

I have really fond memories of coming over here to Lanzarote at Claudia’s age with my parents. Which feels rather fitting as I approach two years without dad imminently. The hotel gave us a flyer for teguise market - in the 90s I just remember a shed load of lace and doilies and a rather terrifying car ride from playa blanca through the mountains on a Sunday to get to it 😂 definitely had a few chats with him whilst I’m over here. 🩷 we’re not in playa blanca so I’m not as emotional as I’d be if we were. It’s a real joy though and definitely worth a visit 🥂 ######

Family time! Much needed break. It may be that there’s the odd day the shop opens up in my absence thanks to good friends and family but I’m going to be unavailable until 29th.
