⭐️ MARK’S 40th ⭐️

Had the absolute delight of creating a menu and cooking for Mark’s 40th a couple of weekends ago.

A hall fancy dress party needing some relaxed fun food ready to go when the guests were 👌🏻.

On the Menu:

Chilli Con Carne (Classic crowd pleaser!)
Vegan Butternut-Squash Chilli

Sides & Salads - Black Bean Salad, Corn Salad, Creamy Coleslaw, Tangy Coleslaw, Fresh Guac, Fresh Tomato Salsa, Pineapple Salsa (all with a wee kick!!)

Served with Tortillas, crusty bread, fresh limes to garnish and of course extra jalapeños 👌🏻

This type of menu is so good to cover a variety of dietary requirements!

So many colours! So much fun to make!

Soup season

Using the last of our homegrown courgettes from the freezer today!

Perfect for light lunches, for back up stock in your freezer, or the perfect dinner party starter.

We also now have a soup kettle for hire to keep it warm for when your group is ready - nourishment and convenience at the heart of what we do!

Giant cookies on the go today for Wee Eagles Rugby training tomorrow Highland Rugby Football Club

Every week parents and volunteers bring baking along to raise funds for the club - such a treat for us all and so well deserved for the players after such a busy Sunday morning session 🏉 🏆

Wild Blackberries

So very lucky to have so much beautiful produce on the Black Isle.

At home ours nearly always go in a crumble (at the children’s request!). & Grown ups usually find our BlackBerry and Limoncello pavlova irresistible!

Rachel and Tim’s Wedding Celebration - salads & sides.

An absolute pleasure to do some salads and sides for a wedding celebration last year - they did the BBQ and wedding cake - we did the rest! The best part? Rachel grew so much of the ingredients herself (on the Black Isle!) and it was so fun to incorporate it into every dish.

A number of guests had dietary requirements therefore many of the dishes were vegetarian, vegan, nut free and gluten free - and we promise still delicious!

Pictured: Vegan Beetroot Slaw, Greek Salad, (Rachel’s) Roasted Veg CousCous, GF Caramelised onion tart and GF Asparagus and Feta tarts.

A great way of feeding a crowd - and giving you time to focus on hosting!
