Still time to book for our online class this Thursday evening, 15th October 7pm - 9pm BST. The project for the workshop is The Astar Knot. During the class we will be working on how to turn plaits as well as a variety of techniques and plaits that will all be put together to make this Celtic Knot style wall piece. Well another fantastic weekend of straw work comes to an end. I am so proud of the whole class, they worked so hard and produced a great display at the end of today. The standard of work was amazing, very well done ladies and thank you for coming.

Busy, busy people! 1st day of the long weekend and working hard already!

Am I ever going to be ready for our Long Weekend of Workshops this weekend? Do you think I am panicking? I'm sure it will all be fine on Friday for the start.

A favourite design of mine that I have made for years but I never get tired of making it.

Lots of preparation going on today in the workshop for our long weekend event which starts on 9th October. The theme is ‘Old is Gold’ and just look at this handful shimmering in the sunshine. Focusing on what we think of as traditional Corn Dollies and then turning them into more contemporary pieces, just to keep our craft moving forward and not getting stuck in the past.
Traditions have to start somewhere.
I could still squeeze a couple more folk in if you are keen to join us.
