Really pleased with how this install turned out today! 🔥

We fitted this Woodpecker WP5PLUS multi-fuel stove, sitting cleanly on a new limestone hearth and finished off with a non-combustible oak effect beam above.

Got to give a massive shoutout to the customer on this one. They took on the heavy lifting of opening up the fireplace and installing the brick slips themselves before I arrived. Cracking job and it sets the stove off perfectly.

My October diary is completely full, but I am now booking in installations for November across Essex and Suffolk. Send a message now to get your free quote!

You really do see it all in this job... 🤦‍♂️

Found this absolute shocker up on the roof today. If you ever wonder why you should hire someone qualified, look no further than this dodgy bit of DIY.

First off, whoever fitted this used a gas flue liner for a solid fuel stove. Solid fuel burns way hotter than gas, making this thin liner completely useless and a massive fire hazard waiting to happen.

But it gets better... rather than using a proper top plate or clamp to hold it up, they’ve literally hung the entire weight of the liner off the chimney pot using a bit of old garden fence wire! 🤯

Surprise, surprise, the constant weight and tension have completely cracked and wrecked the terracotta pot.

This is exactly why building regs exist. Don’t leave your fireplace to a bloke who watched a quick YouTube video and found some spare wire in his shed!

If you’re thinking about getting a log burner installed, or you've just moved house and want an old setup safety-checked, drop us a DM or follow the link in the bio... We’ll actually use the right gear! 👷‍♂️🔥
