The Fated Knitter Love. Create. Give. Hi there! I'm Sam, and when I'm not driving racing cars or running away from a big t-rex you'll probably find me doing something with yarn!

Whether it is knitting it or dyeing it, having my own yarn business is a dream come true for me. My mission is to help you show someone that they are loved, are cherised, are cared for, and are valued. Just for being who they are. Because that means something special. You all make me feel special. You give me a space to explore my love of knitting, which has helped me through so much. And my goal is to give you the tools and skills so that you can use your knitting to help others feel special too. (And it just might make you feel good too!)

6 years today since the On A Whim Cowl was published 😱

I do miss hand dyeing yarn for my cowls. I thoroughly enjoyed making the new colourways. I still get to enjoy making new designs though.

Hi there πŸ’—

Woo hoo! It is finally available - the Delicate Rose Cowl! 🌹

Inspiration for this came from our garden which has several rose plants, the oldest being a Queen Elizabeth that is over 30 years old and planted by my husbands grandmother. The rose to the bottom left is one of this years blooms from that rose bush.

It is available on both Raverly and Gumroad:

Have a beautiful weekend ❀

Turn your stitches into the Delicate Rose Cowl - a seamless stranded colourwork design. Worked entirely in the round from the bottom up, this intermediate design features a small repeatable leaf trellis pattern, and a more challenging rose stem pattern that tests longer floats.Inspiration for this c...

Hi everyone!

A quick Minecraft related project that I made for my eldest son.

16 squares of crochet + join as you go method = Nether Portal.

The recipe I used is easy for a beginning crocheter and used 3 skeins of King Cole Glitz.

Check out the pattern for free on my website:

My favourite stitch marker maker has reopened πŸŽ‰ www.fripandbib.com

😍 πŸŽ‰ FRIPPERIES & BIBELOTS IS OPEN AGAIN! πŸŽ‰πŸ˜

😴 It took me a little longer than anticipated, with still working a job four days a week, but I'm hoping as the shop grows again I can gradually drop some days and commit more to fully to f&b again!

πŸŽ‰ There's a brand new ringOs colour way to celebrate reopening, Opalite, gorgeous opalescent coloured beads on lovely neutral matt gunmetal rings.

πŸ‘€ The beady eyed among you will notice that ringOs XL and ringOs Mini haven't been restocked. I just ran out of time and didn't want to delay opening any longer. Minis will definitely be in the next restock and XLs are under review as I'm having supply issues with the larger beads at the moment! But you have ringOs, ringOs Allsorts and ringOs Traffic Light Lace available plus Simple Solid Rings!

😒 πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Ί Unfortunately I am unable to ship to the EU at present. New customs changes to to the EU are proving difficult with intermediaries to handle them expensive and until I find a workaround I am unable to offer this. I am still posting everywhere else and UK customers now have Tracked 48 as the standard option for all orders! 😊

Thanks for being so patient with me! ❀️

Hi there!

Another busy morning. The sun is shining and the bees are buzzing around the flowers. And the Honey Bee Cowl has been published!

This was inspired by seeing my boys watch the bees flying around the flowers in our garden as they collected pollen.

The cowl is knit in the round from the bottom up. It starts with simple ribbing that prevents the cowl from rolling up, but without distracting from the colourwork. The colourwork starts with a small repetitive honeycomb chart before moving into a larger centre panel with a flying honey bee surrounded by pollen. It then ends with some more of the relaxing honeycomb and ribbing.

It uses two contrasting colour DK weight yarns, and uses less than 100g of each colour which is great for stash-busting.

To get the pattern head over to either Ravelry or Gumroad. For those reading this post, use coupon code HONEY50 at checkout to get a 50% discount until the end of Friday 31st July 2026 UK time.

Hi there!

Although I am getting up more and more, though still only for short moments at a time, I am still on bedrest for most of the day.

I have gone most of this week without pain medication for the internal healing, though the dizziness from the haemorrhage is what keeps me down most of the time.

This week I have written up a long overdue pattern, and finished knitting a new baby blanket design. I have been wanting to try the Icelandic Bind Off for quite a while and finally found a use for it in my own designs.

Check this video out to see how the Icelandic Bind Off is created:

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.
