This Douglas Fir parquet had seen years of wear — but after a full sand and refinish, the natural grain and warm tone are back on full display. Finished with an matt (when dry) look that highlights the timber’s character without adding shine.

Every stage of the process was carefully handled — from the first pass of the sander to the final coat — to bring out the best in this beautiful floor.

💚 This post is Better Late Than Never! 💛

Last Friday, I had the privilege of attending the 2024 Tools Day at —home of Floor Sanding Machines in the UK—and what a day it was! Reconnecting with the incredible KHR team and Lagler Germany was an absolute highlight. Their friendliness, hospitality, and professionalism are truly second to none!

It was fantastic catching up with friends from the 2023 Lagler Fly & Sand, while also getting hands-on with some truly innovative products from and many more.

The floor sanding industry is full of talented and passionate professionals, and events like this are a great reminder of why I’m so proud to be part of the Green and Yellow Army. Networking, sharing ideas, and putting faces to names made it a day to remember.

Here’s to innovation, growth, and shared success in 2025 and beyond!

Just completed a stunning pine board floor transformation in beautiful Woodbridge! We carefully sanded the floor to perfection, revealing the natural beauty of the wood. To seal it, we used the new Bona Mega EVO lacquer in Extra Matt, giving it a flawless, durable finish that enhances the wood’s character while maintaining a sleek, natural look. The result is a smooth, long-lasting surface that truly brings out the warmth and charm of this pine flooring.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Lagler 5-Star Multi-Disc Plate for the Lagler Single ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I’ve just added this fantastic attachment to my arsenal of Lagler’s finest! While multi-disc sanding technology isn’t new to us floor sanding professionals, many previous attempts have been primitive or poorly made. However, with Lagler’s innovation and build quality, this is a superb addition to the already versatile and highly reliable Lagler Single. It features a well-designed free disc low profile, flexible steel discs, and double-row bearings with high-quality stainless steel construction. I achieved excellent results and an impressive scratch pattern on the soft pine board I sanded and sealed this week! 💚💛

Just completed a beautiful restoration project in Hatfield Peverel! This lovely old wide plank Douglas fir floor in a charming period farmhouse was saved from a DIY disaster. It had lots of poor sanding marks and was coated in a horrible DIY pigmented lacquer. Gaps cleaned, then meticulously sanded and sealed with 0% sheen natural lacquer, preserving its authentic character while providing durability. The result? A stunning, timeless floor that showcases the wood’s natural beauty.

Revived a solid oak floor in an Ipswich property, where the existing finish had succumbed to sun bleaching, casting an orange hue. Compounded by moisture-related cupping from improper cleaning and maintenance, the floor underwent a meticulous sanding journey through the grit sequence with the Bona FlexiSand.

This advanced technique not only effortlessly removed the finish but also leveled the floor flawlessly. The final touch involved coating it with Hard wax Oil, resulting in a clean, light, and airy aesthetic that radiates stunning transformation.

Revitalized an engineered oak floor in a contemporary Burnham-on-Crouch property, boasting breathtaking river views. The pre-finished surface presented a challenge with its stubborn, orange-hued, aluminium oxide UV-cured finish. Delicately removed the finish using Diamond plates on my Bona FlexiSand, effortlessly revealing the floor's natural beauty, given its slender 3mm wear layer.

Elevated the aesthetics with a clean, light, and airy finish using Berger Seidle lacquer. The transformation is nothing short of stunning, harmonizing modernity with timeless elegance.
