Posted • New in: Iona Pebble Pendants 🌊 The pebbles for these unique one-of-a-kind pendants were found at Columba’s Bay at the south of the Iona, swept in by the tide from the marble quarry just round the coast.
Iona marble, also known as greenstone, is distinctive for the flecks of green serpentine through it. Technically considered an imperfection in the marble, it is this very thing that makes the marble found on Iona so admired.
Each pendant is a unique piece of the incredible geology of Iona, the island being made of some of the oldest rock on the planet.
