The last hurrah 🍂🌸

The final flowers for a DIY wedding were cut last week signalling the end of my cut flower season.

What a year it has been! Horrendously high temperatures and a hard hitting drought that we still recovering from has meant an incredibly tough and exhausting year for me.

I’ve been looking back over the photos of the weddings, florists orders, workshops and bouquets thinking quite how incredible it is to supply that many flowers in such trailing conditions.

But we look forward to 2027 with new bookings, seeds germinating and seedlings growing nicely in the polytunnel ready for the next growing season.

Is it the last week for flowers? Who knows but the frosts are definitely looming.

This week on the farm stand are rudbeckias, dahlias, asters and straw flowers.

Find them on the honesty farm stand from Fridays at 1pm over the weekend until sold out.

Honesty Farm Stand Flowers 🌸 East Chase Farm, Kenilworth

You never quite know what the field will be like but this week it was giving all the lovely pastels.

Pick me up farm stand bunches are available from Fridays at 1pm over the weekend until sold out.

It works on an honesty system - please pay cash, bacs or via the website using the QR code.

We are about 1-2 weeks away from the last farm stand so if you fancy a bunch for yourself or for a gift then make sure to nab one as bunches won’t be available again until the Spring.

My first à la carte wedding florals using dried flowers 🌸

Nobody had asked me to create full dried wedding flowers before this year, so when this request came through, I was very excited to give it a go.

The brief was lots of daisy-type flowers, which lends itself so well to dried flowers. For the bridal bouquet I used lots of ammobium and strawflowers, with plenty of little pops of texture throughout.

I really enjoyed putting this one together — and, honestly, it was lovely to use my dried flowers for something other than Christmas for a change! 🌼

There were too many dahlias waiting to picked so I thought I’d make them available on the farm stand. Normally they are reserved for gift bouquets, weddings and florists but not this week.

Flowers for the weekend 🌸 Honesty Farm Stand at East Chase Farm, Kenilworth 🌸

A busy week for me but there are flowers ready for the farm stand this week.

Open from Fridays 1pm over the weekend until sold out. Pop cash in the box, pay via the website or bank transfer.

We are going into full autumnal this week what with the change in weather. Lots of lovely peaches and rich warm colours to brighten your home.

A September morning picking flowers for a wholesale order 🌸
Rich tones of Dahlias, Strawflowers, Scabious, Rubeckia, Sunflower, Amaranth, Cosmos, Nicotiana, Achillea and Painted Daisy.

Summer is my favourite season but since growing cut flowers, I think Autumn is fast becoming a contender as I love the vibrant jewel tones.
