A little portrait of a witch. She feels she is not good with people, because she is not good at niceties and small talk and gets tired of interactions quickly. What she doesn’t get tired of is watching animals and plants and clouds and the changes of seasons. Her house is full of “treasures” she collects on her walks: seed pods, colourful leaves, rocks and empty snail shells.

Inspired by the very enjoyable workshop with Kate Leach from Design - a little abstract landscape, autumnal fields. A little rusty after a break, but nice to be playing with watercolours again!

Dear all, I am in the middle of a health rollercoaster. Nothing life-threatening, but extremely disruptive. Because of that I had to, unfortunately, seriously scale down my participation in Warwickshire Open Studios. I had to withdraw from exhibiting at Warwick Visitor Centre (20-23 June and 1-5 July). I am still hoping to be there at the St John's Church, as part of Kenilworth Artists group, on 25-28 June. For now I am trying to find peace with the body that is refusing to cooperate ("What, local Sainsbury's? Nope. You are staying in bed today. Maybe tomorrow. Or in a week, I haven't decided yet" - sort of situations), and to organise life such that I can make the most of my energy without making things worse. Social media and communication in general have on occasions also become unmanageable, so when I disappear - you now know why. But I will keep making art, and show up as much as I can and bring you something interesting, because that's something that I definitely want to do 🤎🩵🩶
