Hi and welcome. Thank you so much for visiting my page and taking the time to read my story. Don’t worry it’s long in years but short in text.
I wish I had known that I had ‘green fingers’ at an earlier age, so I set up Pot-a-Plant. Then it became fairy mad!.
We all know about the benefits of ‘gardening’ but do all kids see it as a fun activity? Yes some but those that don’t may just get it if you throw in a bit of magic (in this case lots of glitter!). Ok, so generally the girls love the fairy gardens but if we could just take out the connotations of the word ‘fairy’ I’m sure more boys would love it. There is something I can’t explain when I see a child totally engrossed in creating her fairy garden. The potted plant becomes so much more than just a plant and soil. It’s now a very personal and imaginative garden where a fairy might just move in.
The mini fairy garden making is so popular that I now offer a 1 hour session to girl guides of all ages in Kent. If you would like this for your group please do get in touch or see my website for more details.
