“What is light without dark?”

A few more versions of Tim Curry’s Darkness from Legend are now underway, because apparently making one six-foot-horned embodiment of evil wasn’t enough.

The dull black bust on the left is destined for a range of stone finishes — aged, weathered, battered and suitably ancient-looking.

The gloss black version on the right is going the other way entirely, with a much richer metallic finish using dark metals, highlights and reflective details.

I’ll also be doing a couple in the proper classic Darkness colours — deep red skin, black horns and the full unmistakable Legend look.

They’ll all be finished individually rather than churned out identically, so there should be a few genuinely different versions available.

If anyone wants one, drop me a message. Numbers will be limited and it’ll be strictly first come, first served.

Because if you’re going to invite Darkness into your home, he may as well match the décor.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Tim Curry’s passing. Three days before this awful news, I shared the first photograph of my original sculpt of his unforgettable character Darkness from Legend—a piece I had already created and was in the process of finishing. What began as a celebration of one of cinema’s most extraordinary performances has now, unexpectedly, become my small tribute to an actor whose voice, wit and unmistakable presence could dominate any screen.

I will be completing a very small, strictly limited edition of these busts, with just a few available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Rest in peace, Tim Curry. There truly will never be another quite like him.

They say, "As an artist, always trust the process." Well, this process is quite long-winded, but the end result should look phenomenal. This is stage four, I think, which is a brown Dickensian-style wash and all that, all the crevices with a light brush over the top. This now needs to be left for another 24 hours, and then I can start dremmeling and polishing. The black stone should come through the wash, giving me the result, which I'll post in the comments.

Here’s a full 360° look at my own original Legend model, still wearing nothing more than its black base coat before the real infernal paintwork begins. Darkness is coming… although at the moment, he’s still in little more than his base coat. This is my own original take on Tim Curry’s magnificent character from Legend, created specifically for me—not some dodgy STL dragged from the darker corners of the internet and passed off as my own. What you’re seeing here is only the opening layer; the proper colour, shading and infernal detail are still to come. The Lord of Darkness will be fully unleashed soon…

Final Joker of my trilogy. This is the metallic one, the complex one. Very happy with this.

Finally finished my last Joker. This was the metallic one, which I was a bit worried about, but it's turned out beautiful. I'm super happy with this, best of the three, so this was the last of the Jokers. I've done three different styles, and I think this is the best one yet.
