super excited to tell you I'll be returning to the Midlands Festival of Nature 2026 at Wicksteed Park, Kettering by Kettering Nature Group this wknd! 🌿

the event will be even better than last year - showcasing the best of nature, conservation and outdoor wellness for every age. Full of pop-ups, nature-themed stalls, educational talks, music, art, and loads of exciting learning experiences celebrating the natural world! 🦇🌷

I'll be there with the bugs of course! 🐞
I'm bringing an abundance of really cool entomology resources and fun materials to learn from and get hands-on with - including butterflies and caterpillars! 🐛🐛

alongside this I'll have a biiig bundle of insect specimen artwork and natural history-inspired homeware if you fancy treating yourselves! 🍂🍄

what an honour to visit my local Tresham College and host an educational pop-up for the students! 🐛
i was asked to talk to everyone about biodiversity and the importance of insects, and we all had the best time. 🐞
incredibly inspiring and heart-warming that so many people took the time to interact with my display, hold caterpillars and moths, read, learn and ask questions... what a beautiful day. 🦋
this is what makes all my work worth it. I am forever happy to do things like this, so please feel free to chat to me! 😊🐝

tiny guy alert! one of the cutest little moth species that hides a startling couple of eyespots. 👀
I always think it looks like there's a nebula in the middle. 🌌
these came to me in their cocoons all the way from Canada!
I had three males emerge, but sadly the female is still SNOOZING 💤 so no larvae this time round. which is a shame as they're my faaaave even though they're covered in painful toxin-laden spikes! 🐛

✨ Tailed Emperor Urota Silkmoth Spotlight ✨

sometimes when you get a mystery collection of pupae, a moth will emerge that you've never heard of or seen before and it's the cutest creature EVER! 🥹
an African species known for it's pointed wings (the males are pointier), this lil darling still has very feathery antennae though despite being female! 🪶
love her rosy blush coloured underwings too. 🥀
