I will be setting up my stand at the upcoming Norwich Ceramics Market on Sunday 7th June, and I would love to welcome you to the stall.

On the day, I will have a collection of freshly fired white earthenware pieces, each individually hand-illustrated.

If you appreciate bright, hopeful details and designs inspired by British nature—from woodland creatures to coastal birds—there will be plenty of new work available.

Here is another selection of the wonderful pots and other gorgeous ceramics from the many marquees at Glynde Place this last weekend. 🎪✨

My thanks to Matt and the team at .co.uk, and of course to all of the uber-talented clay allies who make these gorgeous things.
I have tried to tag them, but it only lets me have 20!

If you came to say hello, give me a wave! 👋 And if you were one of the people who loved my carousel, you made my heart sing every single time you told me how much you enjoyed it. 🐧📚

Thank you so much for a wonderful weekend. I’m resting up, ready for more summer shows—just check my website for details!

A quiet dash around the marquees before I went home to recharge!

There is so much beautiful work to see, and a wonderful sense of anticipation in the air before the appreciative visitors arrive for the weekend.

Not all of the potters are credited yet—many have set up and stepped away to prepare for the days ahead—but I am so looking forward to meeting and connecting with everyone over the coming days.

📅 Potfest South East – Glynde Place 2026
The event runs from Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th May 2026, opening daily from 10:00am to 4:30pm.

You can find us at Glynde Place, Near Lewes, East Sussex (BN8 6SX).

It is a wonderful showcase of over 90 selected ceramic artists, set against the peaceful backdrop of the Elizabethan country house and the South Downs.

Free parking is available on-site, and a complimentary
Shuttle bus runs from Glynde Station. Tickets are £9 at the gate, and under 16s are free.

A quick reminder for visitors, we pretty much all take card payments but signal can occasionally be intermittent on the Downs, so bringing an alternative payment method is always helpful.

Speed emptying the final gold lustre firing. Putting the finishing touches to my competition piece for .co.uk

I couldn’t choose one book alone from the 100 must read classics, so I selected 5!

This has been such a fabulous challenge, including some tweaks that I need to make to the technical workings later on today to get it to spin on the right axis.

I found a beautiful quotation from ( I do hope this is his official Instagram channel ) a defender of democratic principles and against social injustice, I used this quotation around the base of the piece, it feels like it grounds it.

“A book is a carousel of the mind.”

It perfectly describes how my mind fills with characters every day, and this is what roots my creativity. I listen to audiobooks most days in Pottery.

I can’t wait to see the other potters’ competition pieces, there are sneak peaks on the Potfest socials so take a look at their stories.

And do let me know what you think of this… in the comments.
