Welcome to Sabel Lane! I am Abby, a one woman band with some family volunteers & a needy dog. I have run the business since November 2015 from my family home in Bewdley, Worcestershire. I first started the business by making and selling my own greeting cards. I would sell to friends & family and then small craft fairs around my local area. I developed my crafting skills and turned my hand to decoupage which is where my expertise lie. Although I enjoy the art of paper cutting too where I now use natural game bird feathers and real Harris Tweed to back each piece. Over the years I have learned what my own passions and interests were – as well as that of my customers, it turned out to be the same thing – nature, wildlife and the countryside. I wanted to make life easier for my customers (and feed my own habit) and now offer homeware brands – such as Portmeirion and Emma Bridgewater – as well as small creative businesses. Sabel Lane now prides itself on supplying luxury country style home and giftware. A reliable service and products you can trust. The business is run from home so I get the freedom to create and attend Countryside Shows. Although I do not have a physical shop you can still buy in person. I have a full shelf of handmade creations at Bodenham Arboretum (visit the website here). I also attend countryside shows around my local area which you can find by clicking here. My aim is to supply customers with homeware that makes their heart sing. To help people achieve the country style home they dream of. To be a place where you can find the perfect card & gift.

🍂 It’s definitely feeling more like Autumn 🍂

Drizzly weather, leaves changing colour, grey skies and a chill in the air.

It sounds doom and gloom but I think it’s very much welcomed after this years heatwaves 😂

But anyway, just because outside is dark and grey, doesn’t mean you have to bring that indoors.

Here’s your permission to close the curtains, get into comfies, get the candles lit and cuddle up on the sofa… Traitors is optional- however if you’re not watching it, what else would you be doing instead?! 🤯 🤣

I think it’s about time we got properly introduced 👋

I’m Abby. Chief product picker, parcel packer, trade stand builder and the person behind Sabel Lane 😁

Although I can’t take credit for wrapping your orders. That’s mom’s department, and tbh, she’s amazing at it! 😂

I started Sabel Lane back in 2015, and what began with handmade pieces has grown into a multi award winning countryside home and giftware business.

Today, Sabel Lane is continuing to grow, with a carefully curated collection of beautiful pieces inspired by our British countryside ❤️

Behind the scenes, it’s me choosing every product, running the website, packing your orders and building the stands at countryside shows.

But if you’ve ever visited us at a show and wondered where I’ve disappeared to, there’s a huge chance I’ve popped off to do some shopping or to daydream around the animals 😂

And when I’m not working? There’s my dog Monty and the chickens (the gang) to keep me entertained. Let’s just say, they’re part of the family. ❤️

🌾 What makes a country home? 🌾

I don’t think it’s where you live.

It might be muddy paw prints 🐾 across a freshly cleaned floor, hay that’s somehow followed you home from the stables 🐴, livestock with absolutely no respect for your plans 🐄 🐑, or stopping mid conversation because you’ve spotted something in a field 🦌

For some, the countryside is home. For some, it’s their livelihood. For others, it’s simply where they’d rather be ❤️

I’ve been thinking about what makes a home feel country - I don’t think a postcode has much to do with it 🤷🏻‍♀️

🍂 Here’s Sabel Lane’s September roundup 🍂

A lot has happened this month with ups and downs.

☀️ It started with a lovely family holiday to East Devon

🐎 I went for a pony trek and it felt so good to be back in the saddle after so many years!

😢 Then was the worst show I’ve ever been apart of. Thankfully I had a lot of lovely fellow stallholder friends cheering me on ❤️

🏆 Next I found out that I’d been nominated for Gift Shop of the Year - West Midlands in the which I was blown away by! I still don’t know who nominated me! (If you’ve not voted - you can by clicking the link in my bio 😉)

🤩 Lastly was the best show I’ve ever had in the whole 10+ years Sabel Lane has been going. I cannot thank my customers enough ❤️

As we head into the last quarter of the year I think I’m ready for whatever is thrown my way!

🤩 WHAT A WEEKEND! 🤩

I’m almost lost for words! What an amazing weekend we’ve had at

It was so lovely to meet new faces and catch up with familiar ones. I love knowing what you buy and the best thing - is knowing that you’ve treated yourself for a change ❤️

We’ve sold out of so many items - some didn’t even make it onto the website!

I’m literally blown away so thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! For helping me achieve a record breaking show.

I will see you all next year, same time, same place ❤️

🍂 MALVERN AUTUMN SHOW 🍂

This is definitely one of our favourite shows (yes we have a lot! 😂)

This time next week we will be set up and getting prepared for the show to start tomorrow!

However, tonight I’m sat floundering “oh my god! So much to do and so little time!! 🤯” the stock still hasn’t been priced 😂

Anyway, we have a stand that’s going to be bigger and better and we can’t wait to show you 🤩
