Today is my final day at my university research job! After starting my professional artist practice just under two and a half years ago I'm so excited to see what this next chapter brings - I have learnt so much from my past 7 years as a post-doc researcher and lecturer and will continue to weave this into my practice...

They're testing the tidal surge barrier a lot recently.

I just finished reading Dreamland.

Person rides past on their bike, creeping up behind me proclaiming "I'd flatten the whole lot of these buildings - the whole lot!"

I think about all the moments of conversation I'm not witness too. All the sounds I'm not tuned in to.

I quietly murmur you might not have to flatten them - the tide might take them soon.

I witness another test with Phoebe's () workshop from last night ringing in my head.

I carefully listen and find joy in the silt falling in great globs and the water fall as it returns to its passive state - red lights stop flashing.

I love how some days in the studio lead to unexpected gestures being made which leads to spending some time reflecting on incidental mark making, play, intermingling, movement, gesture, expression and connection.

Apologies for feet pics (although I know I might be able to earn good money for these) - I did however crop out my hairy toe that my mum always told me to shave!
