Origin Direct - Hardwood Flooring Specialist Established over 20 years ago, we are dedicated to producing stunning, hand finishing wood flooring to each clients specifications.

From Plank to Parquet, come and see us and explore what's possible. Origin Direct has been importing and installing specialist wooden flooring for nearly fifteen years. We import thousands of square meters from many different high quality European manufacturers. We import all the relevant flooring accessories from MS Polymer Adhesives, Liquid Moisture Membranes, Underlays and Bespoke Finishing Accessories such as Door Saddles and Trims.

As standard, our remit is to install our Herringbone Parquet into all the entrance hallways on The Paddocks site but every now and again, they have a buyer who looks to upgrade their finishes. In this instance, we have extended into the amazing open plan Lounge/Kitchen/Diner which softens the feel of the space and makes it more homely. This client opted for Thin Slate colour tone which enhances the grain while keeping the natural colour of the Oak present.

A traditional 1920’s semi detached property on Brampton Road in Carlisle. We have recently completed the installation of a 150mm wide, planked European Oak Floor. All hand finished with the clients chosen tint which involved keeping the planks natural while elating the grain. All perimeter trims finished to match the floor and the original door pitch pine saddles removed and replaced with new, Solid Oak. As the old saying goes, the devils in the detail.

I wish we had a before and after on this project. Picture this, a dark wooden kitchen that absorbed any natural light, orange floral floor tiles that really hurt your eyes. A complete contrast to this contemporary handless painted kitchen. Our part of the project was to prep subfloor, screed and install this Stone LVT floor throughout the large kitchen and utility. What a difference 👏

This home felt like we’d walked back into the 16th Century, all that was missing was the Horse Drawn Carriage in the driveway and the Butler answering the door. An impressive formal dining room, huge portraits hanging from the picture rail, fine antique furniture sit on our hand finished wood floor like it was the original. Our floors are all Hand finished using Hardwax Oil blends from Treatex which enables us to create a perfect floor for the property it’s intended for. 👌
