In my view we are getting lost in a world where everything needs to look perfect and that isn’t possible in an imperfect world. Views aren’t always going to be stunning, there are always going to be items in the way because we aren’t doing magazine shoots.

A four poster bed we are currently working on.
Still a long way to go with it because unfortunately lost the box with the trimmings in!!

The bed needed to be completed for today due to guests arriving, this is why we’ve had to fit as it is. Once replacement trimmings arrive. We will have to go back to take pelmets and curtains away to add the trimmings.
It’s going the extra mile that you get with using a small business and the attention to detail.

I do a lot of work for designers (contract work) which I can’t show on social media. So while it may appear that I don’t post frequently enough on social media this is why.

It’s that time of year when we start drawing our curtains and pulling the blinds down. 🍁

Also the Christmas countdown. 🎄

Door curtains are a great way to help stop draughts especially in old houses or cottages.

These are a few ideas 💡we have put together.

A good thick interlining and lining (coloured or standard) is what we would recommend to get the best insulation possible. Not only that it’s doubled up down the sides and along the hem, so where you exactly need it to insulate.

Ever wondered what we mean by interlining? This is completely different to your Off the shelf thermal lined. Again we have added photos to show you.
What you would be getting is a bespoke curtains made to fit and that last the test of time.

On another note the dates that I’m next down in Yorkshire is 23-25th September. Already getting booked up with measuring and fitting but get in touch and I can arrange to pop in and measure etc. After that it will be mid October.

Jazzing up headings.

Want something that’s unique to you, there are so many ways you can finish curtains, doesn’t have to be a row of buttons cover in fabric.

Whether it’s an expensive trim that you like but want to find a way to use it without buying metres of it or just embroidery thread to finish the pleat.
