5 things to ask when booking your wreath workshop:

1. What am I making?
May seem obvious, but a moss base, wired wreath will last with our lovely British weather. A wreath pushed into a floral foam base won’t, but will be great on your dining table.

2. Who is running the workshop?
Is it led by a qualified and insured florist, giving you protection and peace of mind? Lots of people think they are professionals at this time of year when there is money to be made.

3. Size matters!
How big is the wreath you will make? There is a world of difference between an 8/10/12” base, especially when they are made up. What size do you need on your door to look good?

4. What happens if it all goes wrong?
What if your wreath really isn’t going well? You want to take something home you are proud of. Can the workshop host rescue it for you and make something fab, whilst helping others too?

5. What foliage are you using?
It is illegal for forage foliage for resale, so be sure your workshop is legit! Also, ask about the variety and type of foliage - spruce quality varies, holly bites, eucalyptus is expensive as are velvet ribbons, texture and colour.

All of these things affect what you leave with, so do a bit of research before you book to come away with what you want.
