Our magical trip to bonnie Scotland started with this idyllic cottage, and I've been dying to show you some of its charming details...

Firstly, the front door sunset was always trying to steal me outside. Meanwhile inside....

Authentic fireplaces...

Historic art portraits (we nicknamed this gentleman Uncle Geoffrey)

Right next to moody landscapes pieces...

Loved the olive green woolen curtains..

And bonus points to whomever chose the finials (things interior designs notice on holiday:)

Which my little ones used for creative play (reason no.132 why I don't take an ipad on holiday)...
