A little KHAYA milestone! 🤍

It’s lovely to see KHAYA Interiors across two pages of the latest Live Ribble Valley magazine.

When I launched KHAYA earlier this year, I had no idea quite where this new chapter would take me. Seeing my work in print feels very special.

A lovely opportunity to share a little more about KHAYA, my approach to interiors and some of the homes I’ve loved creating.

Thank you to the team at for the feature!

A little space with a lot of possibilities 💗

Once a small bedroom, this space has been reimagined as a home office, dressing room and practical storage area, without compromising on style.

By combining bespoke cabinetry with an existing desk, and introducing natural textures, soft neutrals and layered lighting, the room feels both functional and inviting.

It's a lovely example of how looking at a space differently can completely change how it works for you.

Have a room in your home that isn't quite working? Sometimes a fresh perspective is all it takes.

I'd love to help you see the possibilities. Get in touch to arrange a complimentary discovery call via 'contact' in my bio.

A little art appreciation 🤍

I’ve recently bought this beautiful original piece by .art and couldn’t be happier with how it looks in the master bedroom.

The texture and subtle colours are gorgeous, but it’s the little touches of rusty red that really bring everything together, picking up the same warm tones in the cushions.

A lovely example of how repeating a colour, even subtly, can make a room feel more cohesive without looking too matched.

You don’t need to know where to start to have a beautiful home.

Bringing colour, pattern and texture together is part of what I do at KHAYA Interiors. Here’s a little glimpse of how I build a scheme, and how individual choices become a room that feels beautifully considered.

From the first ideas to a clear design plan, I can help you create a home that feels like you.

Why KHAYA? A little story behind the name 🤍

When I named my business, I wanted something that meant something to me.

KHAYA comes from ‘ikhaya’, meaning home in Zulu. Having lived in South Africa and been married to my South African husband, Hamish, for 17 years, it’s a country that holds a very special place in my heart.

The name brings that personal connection together with what I want to help my clients create: a home they love spending time in.

Somewhere you can relax and be yourself. Filled with things you love, shaped around your everyday life, and with a sense that everything belongs together.

That’s why I think about layout, colour, lighting, furniture and fabrics together. Each choice contributes to how a room looks, feels and works for the people who live there.

A personal connection, a meaningful name, and home at the heart of it all.

The hardworking rooms deserve a little love too 🤍

I love the mix of practical storage and thoughtful details here: the soft cabinetry, brass tap, scalloped light and that view through the window. It’s a lovely reminder that even a small space can feel considered and full of character.

Is there a room in your home you’d love to make more of?

Before & after 🤍

My client wanted to fall back in love with her bedroom — a space she’d stopped enjoying being in.

With considered design guidance, we made confident choices to create a calmer, warmer and more personal room that now feels beautifully pulled together.

Whether you need a focused Design Consultation, help pulling one room together, or support from first ideas through to a finished home, I can tailor my help to what you need.

If there’s a room in your home that isn’t feeling right, contact me to book a free discovery call — I’d love to hear about it.
