I’m now taking commissions to turn the buildings and places you love into artwork you can keep forever.

It could be your childhood home, your wedding venue, your favourite pub, a family business, somewhere you spent your holidays, or a building you’ve simply always loved.

Each one is drawn by me from your own photos, with the little details and colours that make that particular place yours.

Prices start from just £45.

I'm looking for your thoughts.

I'm working on a collection of Fylde Coast landmarks at the moment. Fleetwood is known for having 3 lighthouses, though one is no longer in a good way.

Do I draw the Wyre Light in its current form (ie. A sinking pile of wood), or as it once looked?

I think the sinking pile of wood is particularly iconic to those in the area, but is it worth instead celebrating how it once looked instead?

It meant an extra 30 mins of work, but I think it was so worth it. Attention to detail like this is why you should NEVER use AI to generate your art, support a real artist instead!

I’ve recently rebranded because I wanted the name to better reflect what I actually create: artwork of the places that mean something to you -

The house you grew up in. Your wedding venue. A favourite building. Somewhere you’ve made memories. Or simply a place you never want to forget.

That’s what Place Portraits is all about. Turning meaningful places, memories and stories into artwork you can keep forever. 🤍

✨ Introducing Place Portraits by Leah ✨

After a lot of experimenting, changing direction (and yes, changing the name more than once 😂), I’ve finally found the corner of the art world that feels like me.
Place Portraits is all about my love of buildings, architecture and the stories that places hold.

Because a place can be so much more than bricks and windows. It can be where you grew up, where you got married, somewhere you spent your childhood, a favourite local landmark, or simply somewhere that feels like home.

I want to capture a little piece of those places through illustration, creating portraits of the buildings that mean something to us.

I’ll be sharing the places I discover and love, alongside opening a small number of commissions for anyone who has a special place of their own they'd like illustrated.
