Cowslip Workshops Welcome to Cowslip! Workshops, Shop, Cafe, Exhibitions, Events and much much more!! Well worth a visit if you are interested in textiles.

Cowslip Workshops is set in an idyllic location not far from Launceston Golf Club in Cornwall, with stunning views of the Tamar Valley & Launceston castle. We run a variety of different craft workshops and weekly classes ranging from photography or willow work to quilting and patchwork, all organised by Jo Colwill. Jo has worked with textiles all her life, and has designed and made many patchwork quilts, she loves animals, country life, homemaking, and sharing her creative skills. With this in mind, the shop, workshops, weekly classes activities and exhibitions have been carefully built up over the years, offering students the best tutors, working environment, quality relaxation time and sense of achievement plus an excellent range of country fabrics. Jo and Cowslip recently starred in Kirsty Allsopp's Handmade Britain, featuring Jo teaching Kirsty patchworking skills, and the Cowslip Christmas Fair. There is also a fantastic shop full of beautiful fabrics and a fabulous cafe.

With the day's getting shorter, it must be time to start thinking about Christmas!! Helen has just put together a gorgeous little Christmas throw and she is going to be teaching it together with her famous Santa Sacks! This is a 2 day workshop, with 3 weeks between the days to get your blocks completed. You can make either the throw, which can be made bigger or smaller, or a Santa sack. This will get you prepared for the festive season!

If you haven't worked with wool before, why not come along and join Sue on one of her upcoming workshops, we have a beautiful floral design, "Thank you Nancy Shipee" and "We 3 Sheep" which is perfect for Christmas, but would look lovely on the wall at any time of year.

Sue will teach you how to cut out the wool, and the stitches used to attach the shapes. As many of our "Woolley" ladies say, once you get the bug for stitching with wool you won't want to stop!

A box of gorgeousness has arrived from Blackberry Primitives and with the shorter days looming I've picked out a delicious selection of autumnal colours, Butterscotch, mustard, wild berry, brick, clementine, pumpkin, chestnut and gingerbread.
