🚨 URGENT KITCHEN FLOORING JOB – EAST END PARK, LEEDS🚨
We were contacted by an estate agent after the kitchen flooring had become damaged and unsafe, with a tenant unfortunately injuring their foot.
When we arrived, the issue was clear: a previous leak had caused moisture damage to the laminate flooring, causing it to swell and buckle.
But that wasn't the only problem... 👀
Near the sink, someone had previously attempted a repair using a completely different laminate and screws to hold it down.
Our original plan was to uplift only the damaged kitchen flooring, keeping the adjoining lounge laminate intact as it was still in good condition — helping to keep unnecessary costs down. 👍
However, once our fitters started lifting the floor, we discovered something else...
🤦♂️ Laminate had actually been fitted on top of another layer of laminate.
We removed the damaged flooring, prepared the kitchen properly with moisture-resistant plywood, and then fitted a hard-wearing felt-back vinyl — a much more practical solution for a kitchen.
