We can create modern or traditional bouquets and arrangements to order for any occasion – births, birthdays, congratulations, anniversaries, thanks, new homes, apologies etc. – or simply to bring a smile to the face of a friend or loved one. We can also discuss, plan and supply your wedding flowers to make your special day even more wonderful! Every order is made up individually from the wide range of fresh flowers that we stock routinely and, of course, if you want something out of the ordinary, we can order it in especially for you.

As many of you know, Arts and Flowers has been part of our family for over 53 years, starting with my mum and dad back in 1973. ❤️

I’m incredibly proud to have carried on what they started, and now having Leah working alongside me, it’s wonderful to see the next generation of our family continuing the business.

🌿 WE’RE GOING BACK TO OUR ROOTS 🌿

Today would have been our dad Roy’s 90th birthday, and we can’t think of a more fitting day to finally share what we’ve been working on.

Long before Arts & Flowers existed, our family was already growing flowers and plants on the land at home. These old photographs show our grandparents working that very land — growing tulips, chrysanthemums, dahlias and plants to sell at Leeds wholesale market.

Then came the next generation. Dad went away to do his National Service, and when he came home, he and our mum Jenny went on to create something that would change all our lives.

In 1973, Roy and Jenny opened Arts & Flowers in Crossgates.

For the next 53 years, that little shop became part of our family — and hopefully part of many of yours too. Mum and Dad built it, I joined them full-time in 1990, and today another generation of our family is still carrying it forward.

And now the story is coming full circle.

Arts & Flowers is going home — back to the land where our family grew flowers before Arts & Flowers was even born. 🌸🌿

And Mum and Dad will both be coming with us in their own special way.

☕ ROY’S DAILY GRIND will be our little coffee shop, named after Dad — somewhere to have a coffee and cake amongst the flowers and plants.

And for Mum, there will be a quieter little corner of the garden…

🌸 JEN’S WISHING WELL 🌸

A beautiful planted area around the wishing well, created in her memory. Somewhere peaceful, surrounded by flowers — which seems exactly where Mum belongs.

So on what would have been Dad’s 90th birthday, it feels like the right time to finally tell everyone:

After 53 years, Arts & Flowers is going back to its roots.

A new home.
A new chapter.
But the same family story that started all those years ago.

🎉 Happy 30th Birthday to my daughter, workmate and absolute mini me! ❤️🥂

30 years of you — and now I even get to work with you every day! 😂 Being so alike means we clash, we bicker and we’re both convinced we’re right… but we also laugh a lot, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I genuinely don’t know how you juggle two kids, a horse, a full-time job and running a home and still manage to keep all the plates spinning… mind you, I did it, so clearly you learnt from the best! 🤣

All joking aside, I’m so proud of the strong, sassy, hardworking woman you’ve become and everything you’ve achieved in your 30 years.

You keep me on my toes, make me laugh, occasionally drive me crackers 😂 but most of all you make me incredibly proud to be your mum.
