🔹 Employee Spotlight: Nigel 🔹

With over 23 years at Passmore, Nigel brings an incredible amount of dedication and expertise to our team. As a designer, his greatest passion is helping improve lives through home adaptations—whether that’s making it easier to access a shower, move around the home, or even stay in the comfort of one’s own house.

🗣️ Nigel puts it best:

"One of my passions about my job is the thought process I have helped to better someone’s life whether that be to bath / shower or have access to and from ground floor to 1st floor or simply into their home. Real sense of pride in achieving what we set out to do on the journey. Gives me a sense of joy and fulfilment knowing I have helped someone as big or little an impact it may have had on their lives.

This is my obligation not just to council clients but also to private customers. I will look at all aspects of client’s homes dwellings to be able to undertake whatever adaptation is required so that they can have better quality of life or even if it means the client staying in their home."

After some major deliberation, our directors Tony, Steve, and Vicki couldn’t pick just one winning team- everyone’s creativity and team spirit blew them away.

Celebrating Diwali at Passmore! 🪔

In honour of Diwali, the Festival of Lights, Tushar’s wife kindly prepared two of her special homemade curries for the team—a signature Lentil Curry and a Kidney Bean Curry! We’re also enjoying some tasty onion bhajis, naan, and rice to complete the feast.

Diwali is a time for celebrating the triumph of light over darkness, good over evil, and connecting with loved ones. Over five days, families light oil lamps, decorate homes, exchange sweets, and enjoy fireworks.

We’re grateful to Tushar and his wife for bringing the warmth and flavours of Diwali into our office.

Every Friday, we dress down, but last week, it's safe to say we took it up a notch with Hat Friday... 🎩

Following a member of our team wearing a hat that, well, stood out, there was naturally a bit of friendly banter from the rest of us.

So, we decided the next Friday would be all about hats – the wackier, the better!

From elf hats to polka-dot mushrooms, we had a great laugh and showed off our unique styles. It’s moments like these that remind us of our family ethos here at Passmore – a team that works hard, has a laugh, and doesn’t take itself too seriously. 🎉

Last month we shared a sneak peek of a new case study from a recent More Bathrooms project... Today we're excited to share the full case study detailing the luxury bathroom transformation we recently completed for Mr. and Mrs. Hamill. 🛁

The couple wanted to combine their small bathroom and en-suite into one spacious, stylish room that offered a true sense of luxury. With no windows in either room, the space initially felt dark and enclosed, but our team turned it into a beautiful, modern retreat.

- We knocked through the wall between the two rooms, creating a larger, open space.

- A standout feature is the special-order shower glass that switches from clear to frosted with the flick of a switch!

- The design features a dramatic mix of black and wood-effect tiles, a freestanding bath, a large walk-in shower, and a double vanity unit.

- A dwarf wall with an illuminated feature niche added both function and flair, while recessed lighting and a black towel radiator completed the look.

The project was led by Senior Designer Simon, expertly surveyed by Joe, and brought to life by our Multi-Skilled Fitter Darren. The Hamills were thrilled with the result, calling the process “outstanding” and Darren's workmanship “beyond expectations.”

The result? A serene, luxurious space they can enjoy every day!

Take a look at a new stunning kitchen transformation, just completed through More Kitchens.

This is just one of six different jobs we’ve had the pleasure of working on for this amazing client over the past 18 months.

🏡✨ We've revamped kitchens, bathrooms, and bedrooms—both at their own property and their parents’ home after a recent relocation. The seamless blend of modern functionality and stylish design is thanks to our talented team:

Designer: Julie, who brought the vision to life with a thoughtful layout and beautiful finishes.

Surveyors & Project Manager: Rob, overseeing the planning, technical details, and ensuring everything ran smoothly from start to finish.

Multi-Skilled Fitter: Jason, whose attention to detail and experience led to a gorgeous kitchen realised entirely.

What a fantastic morning we had raising funds for a great cause! Our team came together to bake a delicious selection of sweet and savoury treats, including onion bhajis, samosas, chicken, ham & leek pastries, Biscoff cheesecake, two lemon drizzle cakes, and scones with jam and cream.

Founded in 2006 we are a small family business based in Otley. We specialise in the design, supply and installation of quality kitchens and bathrooms. We also offer a free design visit service. Should you have your own preferred fitter and simply want to buy the items, we are more than happy to help you with your design and provide a “supply only” service.

We work in and around Otley: covering Ilkley, Guiseley, Addingham, Yeadon, Horsforth, Adel, Bramhope, Pool in Wharfedale, Menston and the surrounding areas of Leeds Bradford and Harrogate.
