Hot and Crispy Chicken Tenders
Ingredients
Chicken:
Chicken breasts 1 (cut into strips)
Oil - for frying
Wet Batter:
Buttermilk - 1 cup
• Garlic powder - 2 tsp
• Black pepper - 1 tbsp
• Chilli flakes — 1 tbsp
• Salt — to taste
Dry Batter:
• All-purpose flour - 1 cup
• Cornstarch - 1/4 cup
• Garlic powder — 1 tsp
• Black pepper - 1 tsp
Smoked paprika - 1 tsp
• Salt — to taste
Signature Sauce:
Mayonnaise - 1/3 cup
• Ketchup - 1 tbsp
• Chilli Garlic _ Itbsp
• Garlic powder — ½ tsp
• Smoked paprika — ¼ tsp
• Salt - pinch
Method
1. Marinate the Chicken:
In a bowl, whisk buttermilk, garlic powder, black pepper, chilli flakes, and salt. Add chicken strips, cover, and marinate for at least 2 hours (overnight for best flavor).
2. Prepare the Dry Batter:
In another bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, black pepper, smoked paprika, and salt.
3. Coat the Chicken:
Remove chicken from the marinade, let excess drip off, and coat each strip evenly in the dry mixture.
4. Fry:
Heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry chicken strips for 8-10 minutes, turning halfway, until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
5. Make the Sauce:
In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, chilli garlic sauce, garlic powder, black pepper, smoked paprıka, and salt.
6. Serve:
Serve hot and crispy chicken tenders with Signature Sauce on the side.
