This really interests us. Eventually, we'd love to be back in the high street, what are your thoughts regarding the questions in the post below?

HAPPY THURSDAY - Today I have a question for you. What would your ideal high street look like? I work with small businesses to help them grow online, but many of them (including myself) dream of having their own high street shop. I've organised pop-ups before and looking to arrange more for the businesses I work with, but are they wanted? Let me know below.

GOOD MORNING - As well as our upcoming workshops, we're also excited to offer our makers social media support. Laura, who has been working with Tea-Cake for a number of years and running our workshops, will also be delivering digital marketing webinars to support our artists. She has 8 years experience in industry through teaching and assessing apprentices in a wide range of businesses, creating and implementing social media strategies and campaigns. She has recently set up Pebble Street and we can't wait for our first mentorship session.

We know how exciting it is to launch your business online, how eager you are to begin sharing your passion, it is oh so tempting, but, if you can resist and take some time to research your market before you start posting, your content will be far more effective.

WELCOME STACEY TO THE TEA-CAKE TEAM

Stacey will be managing events, promoting artists/makers' work and running some fabulous workshops. She's also the owner of her own creative business . We'll be sharing some of her gorgeous work in the week.

"Hi, I'm Stacey. I’m a mum of 2 and step mum of 2 beautiful children. I attended Manchester Metropolitan University to study Contemporary Craft, which is where I found my love of materials. I specialise in wood, metal, plastics and resin, making large scale sculptures to small scale, bespoke jewellery. Later in my creative journey I also discovered my love of print and digital image making. I’ve spent 14 years teaching art and design at Newcastle College, sharing skills and developing ideas with some very talented young people. Now, I’m looking to develop my own practice further and channel my creative energy into using the materials that I love! I'm so excited to be part of the Tea-Cake team and can't wait to make a start with the upcoming workshops."

GOOD MORNING - We're in our new space and busily preparing Autumn/Winter workshops 🎉 We're incredibly excited to finally be in and working hard towards an open event, sharing artist/makers work, and running classes. Keep your eyes peeled next week, we'll begin revealing more of what's coming for Tea-Cake 😀

We're now based in Congleton and have a number of venues in and around the area ready for delivering our workshops. Who's up for crafting with a cuppa and a slice of delicious cake?

Good morning 🙂 We popped along to a local artisan craft fair in Congleton yesterday (well worth the visit and details in pics below) and bumped into Sophie of Foxredcrafts. She's a past student of Newcastle-under-Lyme College and she's making it happen with her gorgeous graphics and textiles. She's just set up her business, head over to her page to take a look and leave some love ♡

Hello Sunday ♡ We hope you're having a lovely weekend. We popped along to New Designers this week. We saw some incredible work and spoke to some lovely soon to be post-graduates; we're looking forward to supporting them in their journey's as freelance designers. It was also really interesting to see the new trends.

We've also been working with Art & Design students at Newcastle-under-Lyme college on a live brief, which we'll be sharing with you this coming week.

Now time for another cuppa and perhaps a sneaky slice of cake, before heading out to a local artisan craft fair.
