Today we’re raising a glass to two brilliant members of our Kettell family, Eloise and Jo! 🥂

As the person who has worked alongside you both every day, this one is bittersweet to write, but what a pair to have had in our corner.

Eloise joined us through an apprenticeship and has been an absolute star ever since, finishing her time here with a collection of awards that speaks for itself. Watching her grow has been one of the genuine highlights, and she heads off to join her dad and brother in the family business. I couldn’t be more proud of everything she’s achieved.

Jo has been the heartbeat of our office, keeping installations running smoothly and our customer experience consistently exceptional. She’s moving on to focus on her bookkeeping passion, and we’re thrilled to say she’ll remain part of the wider Kettell family in that role. Those back-to-back 5-star review months are a legacy she should be incredibly proud of.

As always, the Kettell team and I are here, going above and beyond to keep you in safe hands and uphold the standards you know and trust. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch as you always would.

Your 🏡 Your priorities 🐾

We love an install that works for the whole family — including the four-legged members 🐈

This recent back door transformation, based in Market Harborough, brought together a more secure, low maintenance and stylish composite door — and yes, we made sure the cat was fully catered for too.

The homeowner supplied their specialist flap and we fitted it straight into the solid timber core composite onsite. Job done.

We can do the same into glass units and uPVC options too — so it doesn’t always mean a full new door.

Happy 1 year at Kettell, Stephen! 🎉

A year ago Stephen joined us as our Order Processor, and quietly, consistently, he's helped make the whole business run better.

Behind the scenes he's streamlined how we manage orders, freed up John to focus on what he does best, and played a genuine part in helping us grow.

Thank you Stephen, we're really glad you're part of the team.

Riley and Jack going it alone - and absolutely nailing it 💫🙌🏻

One of the things we’re most proud of at Kettell is the team we’re building, and this month that pride has been very much on show.

Riley and Jack recently completed an installation entirely on their own. Two young professionals, working together, delivering exactly the standard we’d expect of anyone on the Kettell team, which is to say, an exceptionally high one. Our quality checker Jo visited afterwards and came away genuinely impressed.

We know that handing your home over to a young team takes a certain amount of trust, and we never take that lightly. What Riley and Jack are demonstrating, what the whole of our younger team is demonstrating, is that age really doesn’t limit quality when the training, the support, and the standards are right.

Summer is just around the corner ☀️

Here’s how to make sure it’s ready. 🌿

1. Dress your front door

A quality door number, a simple overhead planter, clean paintwork on the surround. First impressions matter, both to guests and to you every time you come home.

2. Frame your back garden

Think about what your eye is drawn to when you look out. Potted planting either side of a door, or a defined edge to a terrace, creates that seamless connection between inside and out that makes a home feel genuinely considered.

3. Clean your windows properly

Mild washing-up liquid and a soft cloth. Avoid abrasives on aluminium frames. You’ll be amazed at the difference clean glass makes to how light feels inside a room.

4. Check your door seals

Run your hand around your frames on a breezy day. Any draught you can feel is worth sorting, not just for comfort, but for your energy bills too.

Small details. Big difference.
