A lot has happened since the curved oak nosing and veneered worktop.
The carcasses for the café and servery are now built and ready to leave the workshop. Seeing all this joinery together gives a real sense of the scale of the project.

Dave's Detail of the Week.
After more than 40 years of working with veneer, Dave still makes it look effortless. Here he's stitching individual veneer leaves together to create a continuous surface, ready for the next stages of production.
It's one of those processes that's strangely satisfying to watch.

A little update on the mystery curved oak project...
This is just one section of a much larger café and servery top currently in production. The veneer has been carefully matched so the grain flows seamlessly through the piece and around the curved nosing.
