We’re incredibly proud to share that Clearview Home Improvements has been part of a very special BBC DIY SOS project, helping to transform a family home into an accessible, usable space for a family who truly deserve it.
This episode tells the story of 16-year-old Dan from Preston, who has spent the last three years in hospital following life-saving surgery to remove a brain tumour, which left him with complex disabilities. Although Dan has been ready to come home for 18 months, the family’s home wasn’t able to meet his needs.
With mum Julie by Dan’s side in hospital and dad Nigel at home caring for their daughters Charlotte and Emily, the family has been living apart for years. The DIY SOS & Clearview teams took on the challenge of transforming their home, creating a space where Dan can finally return home and the family can be together again.
We feel incredibly privileged to have played a part in this life-changing transformation and to have worked alongside such an amazing team of trades, volunteers, and everyone involved in making this dream a reality.
