Wool is the Answer Hand dyed yarn, patterns and inspiration You may ask why we have called our new venture Wool is the answer?

For us the answer is simple, as crafters of many things, there is no question to which wool is not the answer!

We are a new business based in Lincolnshire set up to sell good quality local sourced wool. We are gradually building up our own hand dyed range of yarn in 4 ply, all of which is hand dyed by us in Lincolnshire. We intend to add to our collection regularly and produce coordinating yarns for use in various knitting projects.

We have carefully selected our first supplier, West Yorkshire Spinners, as we fell in love with their colour range and quality, and of course they are "reared, sheared and spun" in Great Britain.

At the moment we are starting off small with limited lines but hope to grow quickly with the help of you, our customers. Our aim is to source local good quality yarn to share with you all.

Our passion is for vibrant colours so we will try and incorporate this in our choice of products and suppliers as well as our dyeing palette.

Marie has finished her Kala too by Megan Nodecker in yarn from Nish*ta Rana and is absolutely delighted with the result! Sheā€™s already planning a Christmas version of the Trescao sweater.

Dominique is still battling with the Watermark pullover by Marie Greene , but this time the challenges are of a more physical nature! šŸ˜‚

The Shipshape jumper by Heidi Kirrmaier | Knitting Patterns is finished, apart from a little creative magic needed on the neckline. We canā€™t wait to see how it turns out!

The Mod Podge worked!

The leaves I collected on my walk have now been turned into the most beautiful autumnal garland. I absolutely love how theyā€™ve kept their colour and texture.

Of course, the mirror felt a little left outā€¦ so a few leaves headed over there too! šŸ

Finally, the first pair of Aran Bedsocks are finished!

They look absolutely fabulous in our Strictly colourway, Foxtrot Iā€™ve really enjoyed this quick knit, so much so that Iā€™ve already started another pair in Tulips.

I used 5.5mm needles throughout and cast on 44 stitches for a UK size 7 foot.

A lovely, satisfying little project and Iā€™m already looking forward to seeing how the Tulips pair turns out! Its definitely a šŸ”Ÿ from me.
