i made another "cake knife" this time i made the blade out of Iroko and the handle scales out of eucalyptus wood. Mr & Mr laser engraved into the blade, i sanded up to 800 grit then a few hrs in a food safe mineral oil bath and then a couple of coats of pure bees wax.

anybody getting married soon? need a knife to cut your wedding cake?............ i can make you one if you'd like one.

i finished this little noughts and crosses board today,i made the noughts and crosses out of resin.finished the wood with a long soak in mineral oil and a couple of coats of beeswax. (silky smooth).

work is progressing,running the router over it to make it flat...............just like my stomach.

well this project has failed,i didn't rout deep enough for the resin and now after flatting it you can see through it so...

well this project has failed,i didn't rout deep enough for the resin and now after flatting it you can see through it so I've had to stop......but never fear I'm not giving up!! I've started again.........watch this space.
