I’ve finally found the words for a post I’ve been putting off for quite some time.
After five and a half years, I’ve made the incredibly difficult decision to wind down Coorie Home Co.
This year has brought a huge amount of change for our family and, somewhere amongst all of that, I’ve realised that my priorities have changed too. With both my boys now in school, I’ve been thinking a lot about what I want this next chapter of our lives to look like, and I’ve realised that it’s time for me to step away from Coorie and put my time elsewhere.
I really have genuinely loved this business and have really enjoying pouring my heart and soul into it 🤍
I’ve learned so much, challenged myself, made so many mistakes, met some incredible people and, most importantly, watched customers become friends. I’ll always be incredibly grateful for what this business has given me, the places it’s taken me and there have genuinely been so many more highs than lows throughout this adventure.
Also not forgetting, the time Princess Anne stopped at my stall for a chat!! Had no idea starting a candle business would lead to an encounter like that! 😄
I know lots of you have been waiting for my autumn and Christmas workshop dates and I’m so sorry to say there won’t be any this year and I also won’t be attending any more markets 😓
I won’t be disappearing overnight though. I’ll be winding things down over the next couple of weeks and might even try and pour one final batch of autumnal wax melts, so keep an eye on the website and my socials for those! 👀
I’ll also be sharing details of some of the equipment and supplies I’ll be selling as I clear the workshop. And if you know anyone who would be interested in maybe taking my workshop on - send me a wee DM! It would be fab to see another small business move into what was such a special space for me 😌
I’ll share details soon on when exactly Coorie will close completely, at the moment it’s looking likely to be around the end of Sept-Oct
I’m really sad to close this chapter but I’m also ready for what comes next
Thank you all for five and a half wonderful years 🤍✨
