I've been fortunate enough to have bottomless help and endless advice from my brilliant friend Dave Bunney in beekeeping, but this is my first year doing it all independently, by hand, and with all my own gear

Hello humans!
I have been away on a few trips so I was thrilled to open the hives yesterday and see the bees have been busy in my absence. I will have lots of local honey for sale hopefully by the end of August for anyone interested 🍯

Beeswax is a miracle substance. Antibacterial, anti-fungal and waterproof. It can be used to polish furniture, fight acne, tame frizzy hair and unstick zippers. Musicians use it to polish instruments, beeswax candles burn brighter, cleaner and longer than conventional candles. It is also essential to bees inside the hive, used to construct comb in which they lay their larvae and store pollen.

A couple of years ago whilst the pandemic was raging, my brain started wondering about what challenge I could give myself. I have always loved animals and being outdoors so beekeeping seemed like a fantastic idea. Fast forward to now and I have lots of sting reminders, but also two healthy and productive hives of bees who make lots of delicious honey 🍯
Bees are absolute miracle workers, if humans were efficient as them we’d be REALLY dangerous. Thanks to my lovely insect friends I am also able to sell 100% beeswax candles, and am currently working on beeswax wraps.

I make other art and crafts which I will regularly post on here but if are interested in candles or honey the prices are as follows;

£6.50 per jar
£8 for jar & candle
£2.50 per candle (if ordering 10 or over £2 per candle)
