I can’t believe it’s the last week of school before the summer holidays 😳 If you’re looking for ways to entertain your kids this summer you can pop into and buy one of my craft kits - robots, dinosaurs and flower necklaces for £6 each.
They contain instructions for you and everything your child needs to make their craft. So perfect to pick up on the way to the park or for a crafty afternoon at home.

Tomorrow’s class is the last Friday Story & Craft this term! We’re reading The Dinosaur Department Store and stomping round the studio like dinos 🦕
My Monday crafters made these fabulous paper plate dinosaurs - aren’t they gorgeous!
If you and your little one would like to join us for tomorrow’s class then book in through the link in my Story. Please note that we’ll be starting 15 mins later than usual - at 2pm - but we’ll still finish at 2.45pm for those who need to get to school pick up.

My school craft clubs loved making these sock caterpillars this week. They stuffed them, decorated them and made cocoons for them to travel home in while the glue dried. And some turned them into dogs rather than caterpillars! It was so lovely to hear the kids chatting to each other excitedly as they discussed how they were decorating their sock caterpillars 😍

🍐🍎🥭 KITCHEN DISCO 💃 🕺 🪩 is our book this week at Story & Craft and we had so much fun making these kitchen disco collages and dancing fruit at Monday’s class. And of course we also had a boogie in the bubbles 💃

We tried tape resist painting at after school craft club this week and look what brilliant pictures the kids made! Some letters were much tricker to tape than others- the little crafters whose names began with S needed much more patience that those that began with A or F for example 😆
And we used paint sticks and water to create the watercolour effect. Well done everyone for experimenting and creating brilliant pictures 👏🏻

After a bit of deliberation I’ve decided to go ahead with tomorrow’s class. The Studio is out of the sun and we’ll have the fan on so hopefully it’ll be cool enough. If you’d rather not bring your little one out in the heat I totally understand but if you do want to join the crafting fun I’ll be there so come along and join the fun 🎂

🎉It’s my birthday on Saturday so tomorrow we’ll read the brilliant ‘When’s My Birthday?’ and decorate cardboard cakes! 🎂

I loved Monday morning’s Story & Craft session 🥰 I read Stuck by Oliver Jeffers with the little crafters and then they and their grown ups made their own collage trees and cut all sorts of funny things out of magazines to put in their trees, like in the book!
They were all so engrossed in the story and their crafts, well done little crafters 👏🏻👏🏻

I set my after school craft club a toilet roll challenge this week! They had one toilet roll tube (which I’d painted at home to cover the writing on them) each and masses of craft materials to use. The challenge was to create a creature, either real (like an animal) or imaginary (like a monster or robot) with their toilet roll tube and the craft materials. And look what they made!! There were penguins, bees, a bat, a robot, a giraffe, people and so many other imaginative creations who were taking baths and eating food and lying in bed and more. Well done crafters 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
