Our 2nd little artwork of this year is another little linocut print, hand embellished with 24-carat gold leaf. See the close up shot for the tiny little splashes of gold which make him sparkle from afar. It's been some time since we shared anything, and thought we'd firstly apologise for the lack of posting on social media. The past year has been a tough one for both Martyn & I, but we're now hoping to start work again on creating items for our Etsy shop. Here are a couple of photos of the final wren pieces we created, they are in position in their new home. We were lucky enough to sell both pieces soon after they were completed. I hope you'll stay with us to watch this space for our new work.

While we work on more bird projects, and hope that the better weather is coming so that we're able to get in the workshop without freezing, here is another one of Martyn's amazing creations! He wanted to create something special to display our Grandad's old coal mining lamp, so he designed and hand-made this stunning floor standing lamp. The only thing he didn't make was Grandad's original lamp that hangs from it. We all think he did it proud! ❤️

Here's an all round view of the little needle-felted wren soon to head over to Martyn. Feeling much happier with his copper legs and looking forward to seeing what magic Martyn can work on him. Onwards with owls soon!

Our apologies for the lack of posts in recent weeks. My health has been suffering of late, and Martyn too has had issues of his own. So, it has been a tough time for us both and we are just coming out the other side now I think. My little felted wren did get finished! With the help of a lesson in soldering from my husband Paul, he now has more delicate little copper wire legs. Here he is, ready to go to Martyn for the next stage.

Until we have some further progress to share with you I thought I'd share some of Martyn's beautiful creations. Here is a lamp he made recently. I love the contrast of the shiny metal blades, the rough, natural wood, then the chunky black chain at the base. ❤️

So, once Martyn had given his tree 'find' a good flat/level base it needed a big clean up. Look how different it looks now! All those lovely natural grooves, cracks & knots really showing up beautifully. I'm excited to see how this one develops!
