Our first Pop-up North Wales Contemporary Craft Fair of 2026 will be held at Mostyn on Saturday 20 June!

We’ll have 13 stalls with a variety of artists, designers and makers from Wales and the rest of the UK. With free entry for visitors, the fair is a fantastic opportunity to buy affordable art directly from the creators, discover unique pieces and take home something original.

“As an artist and climber, I’m interested in the visual appeal of geology. Why it is that alpinists are drawn to certain mountains, or why rock climbers describe their routes as beautiful. As a climber I want to experience these places, but as an artist I want to capture the essence of them.” - Tessa Lyons

Originally coming from an illustration background, Tessa has worked extensively within the outdoor industry, providing artwork for numerous organisations and publications, including British Mountaineering Council, National Trust and Alpinist magazine (USA).

Children’s Welsh Literature Recrafted

To coincide with Paul Eastwood’s exhibition Unreadings, we commissioned Jennifer Collier to create a series of jugs, spoons and teacups made from the iconic Welsh language children’s books created by Mary Vaughan Jones and illustrated by Rowena Wyn Jones. These books were part of a graded reading series by Cymdeithas Lyfrau Ceredigion aimed at helping children to learn Welsh.

Driftwood Designs

Driftwood Designs was founded in 2012 by Lizzie Spikes and Becky Barratt.

Each design is created by Lizzie who trained as an illustrator and scenographer. Lizzie often fashions canvasses from recycled wood, driftwood and collaged paper surfaces. She finds the uneven shapes, form and textures inspiring and receptive to the fluid inks and paints used.

The Welsh language often appears in Lizzie’s work, she has a keen interest in interpretating words, places and feelings to others through her artwork.

Clare Collinson is the jeweller behind Story & Star. As a little girl, Clare loved being read bedtime stories and her favourite books were those that had been passed down and read so many times the pages were tatty and worn.

This fascination with storytelling and aged objects shapes her practice. Based in Colwinston, South Wales, Clare works predominantly in silver, printed papers and resin. The text used in her jewellery is printed onto recycled and textured paper, with mottled and worn surfaces deliberately chosen to give each piece a vintage feel.

Ella Owen is a mixed media artist working predominantly with photography and stitch. Identity is a recurring theme within the artist’s research and practice, especially in relation to locality and place. She is interested in how imagery holds memories and how those images can be distorted in order to capture feelings of change and the passage of time. Ella takes inspiration from her upbringing in North Wales, an area rich in history and culture.
