Don’t you just love time-lapse? Everything done in seconds flat!

Et voilà! My Hebridean Sea Pods have their finishing touches, with their little stickers in place and ready to find their new homes.

These lovely little bud vases are perfect for a mini posy or a single flower. They’re glazed in my Natural Uist glaze, with recycled glass on the inside, choose from either green, blue, turquoise or buy as a mixed set.

You can find them in the gallery or over in my online shop:

Fancy an evening of pottery, creativity and plenty of hot chocolate? I still have some spaces available for the festive tea light workshops on Wed 18th 6-8pm and Wed 25th 6-8pm November.

I’m also considering adding a Sunday class on 22 November, 11am–1pm, so keep an eye on Facebook and Instagram for updates! 🎄

PRIVATE GROUPS

Fancy a creative get-together with friends? I can accommodate private groups of 4 or more during the last two weeks of November.

A NOTE ABOUT DECEMBER

I’m due to have a cataract operation, so there won’t be any extra classes in December. Don’t worry, though — all your pottery will be ready for collection before Christmas!

🎄 READY TO BOOK?

If you’d like to make something special for Christmas, now’s the time to get in touch! Send me either a PM or email to [email protected] to book your place for a Wednesday evening session or arrange a private group.

I’d love to see you in the studio!

I do love seeing your photos of my pottery in its new home! 💙

It’s such a joy to see where my pieces end up after leaving the gallery. Thank you to everyone who’s shared one with me — it’s lovely to see my pottery finding its place in your homes.

If you ever fancy sending me a picture of a piece you have, I’d love to see it — but for now, I thought I’d share this lovely one of my sea urchin and wee rock pools in-situ with you.

There’s also lots of lovely new pottery available to buy online if you’d like to bring a little bit of the shoreline into your home - www.shoreline-stoneware.co.uk

What makes you smile? 😊

For me, there are so many things, but one of my top 5 has to be opening the kiln and seeing how my latest pieces have turned out, then getting to share them with you! 💙

One of the fun finishing touches that I do is add the gel feet underneath, helping each piece sit just right. ✨

And seeing these gorgeous new ceramic pieces ready to find their new homes makes me smile too!

A VERY BIG PUBLIC OOPS! 🙈🤦‍♀️

Well, I’ve managed to make a bit of a muddle of things!

While travelling in Bristol, juggling family things and clearly trying to do too many things at once, I managed to attach the wrong blurb to the wrong photographs. Oops!

The beautiful porcelain knitted pieces I shared are not Kirsty MacLeod’s work, as I mistakenly said. They are the gorgeous creations from Pat Archibald recent Escape to the Croft stitching retreat and workshop here at Shoreline Stoneware Gallery. ❤️

My sincere apologies to both Pat and Kirsty for getting my wires crossed, and thank you for your patience while I put the record straight. Pat and her workshop ladies deserve their moment in the spotlight for these absolutely stunning pieces!

Kirsty’s work will have its own proper feature coming soon, so please do keep an eye out for that.

Meanwhile, I think it’s time I put my phone away. I've found myself a wee tearoom in Bristol, and ordered some loose-leaf Earl Grey in a vintage china teapot. Time to slow down and stop multitasking! ☕️

Thank you for bearing with me, and apologies again to Pat and Kirsty. ❤️

Fancy a little creative time for yourself this November?

I've got some pottery workshops coming up, where we’ll be making festive tea light holders. No previous experience needed — just come along and have some fun!

Tea, coffee and hot chocolate will be available during the workshop.

I can also arrange private classes for groups of 4 or more if you’d like to get a few friends together.

Have a look at the dates below and drop me a message if you’d like to join me - [email protected]

🧡 A little update on Ginger Jaffacake Marigold II

Our handsome ginger boy and gallery muse has had a difficult few weeks after suffering a burst eardrum, which left him feeling very sorry for himself and struggling with his balance.

Thankfully, after some wonderful care from our vets here on Benbecula, he is now feeling much better. His jumping isn't quite back to normal yet, though, so for the time being, his adventures outside involve a harness and lead.

Ginger’s thoughts on this development:

“I’m not entirely sure about this harness business… but I think I look like a handsome orange superhero. And, on the plus side, I’ve discovered a new appreciation for Cats Like Felix wet food.” 😸

He’s taken to the harness surprisingly well and has been enjoying his walks, as well as sleepovers with one of his best cat friends.

Thank you to everyone who has been asking after him and sending him good wishes — they’re very much appreciated. 🐾

Love, Ginger Jaffacake Marigold II, Louise and Charles 🧡
