Been quite busy with my new job (now officially a seamstress/sales for a vintage denim company) but some personal projects still ongoing. Shaped from a cut down flap Holster and will go with crossed belts with shell loops along the full. Length for my take on the "Curly Bill" look
Lined in suede using reclaimed leather from some chaps. Happy with how both the navy and re*****on army sit in them.

However you feel about 1958 pattern Webbing, and if you're following this page you are likely to have an opinion let's face it. No one can deny there is a lot of it about. On issue for four decades I think some of it in this pile was in service for all of that period but as I have a proper paid commission to avoid (Sorry Billy Simpson but you know my process by now haha) I have decided to take a delve into the "deal with it later" bag of 58

After a long absence (because they are hard to make, I'll be honest) my take on the classic drop loop "sas" ammo pouch
By no means a direct copy. These are slightly oversized as I cut down standard 58 ammo pouches to make them. Each one holding up to 4 short m16 magazines (the real ones you could just about get 3 in at a push)
Obviously not a museum copy but a hardy substitute for wrecking and antique pouch for Airsoft etc

I'd read about people repurposing civil war holsters and fancifying them rather than just taking g the flap off. As I had a couple or pretty dubious military style holsters I didn't have a use for I thought why not? To my surprise I actually like them. And of course holsters for. Long barrel revolvers are hard to come by sometimes
