In October 2024, I became a member of Roots allotment, marking the start of my first-ever allotment journey! I’m so excited to fully dive into growing my own food and learning along the way. This is about halfway through my design and I'll be posting more soon! I'll be posting the whole design on my website, link in bio!

I am now currently halfway through a Master’s in Global Health, Food Security & Sustainability with and , so this little plot feels like a perfect bridge between study and soil—growing food, restoring biodiversity, and getting back to the roots (literally).

Over the next few months, I'll be sharing my progress, what I’ve learned from my studies, and insights from my time on the allotment. Can’t wait to take you along for the ride!

Highlights I can’t wait to plant:

Pumpkin seeds passed down from my grandparents, for our family’s annual carving competition 🎃

Special varieties from the 🌱

Here's to a season of good soil, shared knowledge, and plenty of squash

This is a sign! And it made my day

Haven't been posting lots, but I have been super busy over the past few weeks and booked solid for the next few weeks! Excited to see where this summer will take me.

Today I attended the and had a great time seeing all the exhibitions. I especially loved the planting in small spaces showcasing how you can incorporate plants in all different circumstances, from full sun to shady spots.

I have definitely picked up some inspo that I hope to use in future projects!

After ----> Before

shots of a garden I tidied recently on a lovely sunny day! The client had been struggling to tend to it herself as it was overgrown, but now it should be a bit easier to maintain. I'll be back in a month or so to do some planting!

It has definitely been a challenge going back to work with the freezing temperatures this week ❄️

But despite not being able to feel my fingers or toes there's a lot to enjoy in January like this Garrya elliptica!

Also shout-out to my lovely client for giving me cups of tea to help warm my freezing hands 👐
