Inside this residential project in Cuckfield (West Sussex), art was embedded in the walls, woven through the furniture, and quietly expressed in the architecture itself.

5 things we learnt from Milan Design Week 2026 ✨

1) Raw storytelling – materials ARE narratives.

2) Soft, organic furniture forms – curved, fluid silhouettes continue to dominate furniture design, replacing rigid geometrry with calming and human-centred shapes.

3) Indoor-outdoor hybrid design – spaces that merge and environments that as naturally beautiful as they are flexible.

4) A branded world – palazzos were taken over by some of the world's most respected fashion brands showing what they know about design.

5) Emotional minimalism – minimilism is far from disappearing. Pallates are warming, textures are more layered and minilist interiors shown during the fair felt 'collected' and not overly sterile.
