One of the best parts of my work is that I get to meet incredible people. Carol Annett has been a friend for many years and I have followed her brilliant career with admiration. Her podcast series, HOUSE GUEST, is a treat for listeners as she brings out the best conversation in her guests.

I was delighted to return to the podcast to chat with Carole and update her on my happenings. We couldn’t stop chatting after recording and continued our catch up over a champagne fuelled lunch talking about everything from dogs to love to table linens. Follow the link in bio to listen.

Today is the first official day of Spring here in London and now that the days are softening, we’re looking forward to getting back into outdoor dining—setting long lunches in dappled sun and letting the light lead the way with colour. Think sun-washed linens, hand-thrown ceramics, and glassware that plays with shadow.

As Miami Art Week draws to a close, I thought I’d share some pictures from my kick off party earlier this week. If you know me, you know I love to host a party! I had so many friends coming to Miami that I decided to bring everyone together at my home.

We had signature cocktails based on the different places I’ve called home (London, Miami, Mexico and Cuba); an incredible charcuterie montage by chef Ashley (first time we use my kitchen for a party as it’s usually back of house for me!); and music by the very talented . Towards the end of the evening, the dining room became The Chocolate Room and we served local artisanal chocolates flavoured with champagne, rum, and tequila.

I found copper vases in Mexico and surrounded them with tall taper beeswax candles that filled the air with a soft scent. Little boxes in my Ambia wallpaper pattern held cookies by a local bakery.

I’ve never worn head to toe red but it felt festive and the evening was magical. Thank you to all who joined in the celebration. A good party vibe comes down to great guests! Lucky me.

Our Luna console table is custom made in a mix of travertine, green timber veneer and liquid bronze. I love the curves and material contrast, especially when set against a colour background such as the rust coloured wallpaper in this entrance. The base is barro negro which I bought in Oaxaca, Mexico.
