Nothing too extraordinary, but a small space that now works harder.

Even in larger family homes, finding enough room for countless coats and keeping kicked-off shoes from becoming a daily trip hazard is a challenge.

We tackled this dilemma by designing this mini boot room just off the main entrance hall. Bespoke joinery provides dedicated storage to keep things tucked away and the hallway (hopefully) far less cluttered.

Late-night whispers and midnight feasts always welcome here!*

Summer holiday sleepovers are in full swing in this loft twin room we designed as part of our Chiswick clients’ home renovation.

*According to us. No parents were involved in this declaration!

A former rental, unloved and underutilised, we gave this East London kitchen the design TLC and functionality it deserved.

Three simple design choices create a natural pause point for this Chelsea apartment’s compact hallway: a double wall light, slimline mirror and handy shelf. Each earns its place, while their curved forms balance the architecture’s straight lines.

Six months on, it looks like this Bathroom design was all about the Bs. Purely coincidental!

1. Banished the bath;
Hardly ever used, its removal left plenty of room for a generous walk-in shower and a much larger basin and vanity.

2. Fully embraced Brown;
One of the newest colours from Farrow & Ball: Broccoli Brown, painted across the walls and ceiling.

3. Bronze and brass;
Mixing metals across the lighting, hardware and accessories brought warmth and contrast without the scheme feeling too forced.

The room’s proportions and natural light gave us the confidence to go bold. And fully committing to the design is what makes it work.

Every successful home renovation begins with a clear vision.

Bringing that vision to life for our clients relies on a trusted network of craftspeople, makers and specialists we’ve carefully built. Knowing who to bring in, and when, is arguably one of the most valuable things we bring to the table.

We’ve worked with Katherine Brown for years because her craftsmanship, attention to detail and considered approach reflect the same standards we set for every project.

Our NYC-based clients commissioned us to redesign their 1,000 sq ft Spitalfields loft apartment ahead of relocating across the pond.

After fifteen years as a rental property, the apartment was tired and needed a complete rethink, leading to a full strip-out and renovation.

Working alongside SAB_PBConstruction, we reimagined every space. Refurbished exposed brickwork and Crittall windows celebrate the building’s industrial heritage, balanced with rich textures, statement wallcoverings and layered details that create a home designed for their next chapter.

Bathroom details that elevate.

The smallest decisions can make the biggest impact. Five principles we always consider when planning a redesign for this space.

1. In control?
Where possible, keep shower controls out of the water flow so you can adjust the temperature before getting in.

2. Bath and shower combo?
A hinged glass screen maximises usable space while keeping water contained.

3. Low ceilings?
Use a vertical tile pattern to create the illusion of height.
Balancing patterns and plains?
Combining complementary yet contrasting tiles adds depth, interest and a more considered feel.

4. Balancing patterns and plains?
Combining complementary yet contrasting tiles adds depth, interest and a more considered feel.

5. No room for a niche?
A wall-mounted shower caddy keeps your toiletries organised without taking up valuable space.
