Commissioned Quilts FAQ
How much do they cost?
The price of a quilt varies depending on complexity, size, time constraint and material used. They can start as little as £40 or go to above £1000.
How long do they take to make?
2-4 weeks is the goal. But this depends on how long it takes to design the quilt with you and order the materials you want.
How do I order a quilt?
Initially it starts with the designing process. We discuss a budget, what you want and if I can supply that for you. Once this is determined and a design is agreed, a deposit is needed to cover material costs. This is non refundable. The quilt is made and photographed to ensure you are happy with it. Then the rest of the agreed upon price is paid for and it is shipped to you.
What happens during the design process?
We discuss the size, colours, patterns and how you want it to look. It is my duty to ensure I can find the most affordable way of getting what you want. You can sketch a design initially or we can completely start from scratch. This is all down to you and your vision.
What if I don’t like the quilt in the end?
I hope that you will love the quilt I make for you, but if for whatever reason you don’t, the deposit is in place to ensure I do lose my own money on material. It will be made to the highest quality, and if it does not meet your standard, it must be sent back and you will be refunded the rest.
