We've just completed a bright, colourful project for Blackheath High Junior School: the complete replacement of the rooflight over their school hall.

We installed a fully glazed aluminium rooflight spanning over 18m long and over 4m wide, along with aluminium casement windows.

The extra beauty of these casement windows are that they're controlled by an internal teleflex gearing system that allows them to be openable, even at that height!

To top off this spectacular project we applied colourful film across each section, creating a stunning rainbow effect, both inside and outside.

A recent project in a London-based Law firm to update their kitchen/refreshment areas.

In the kitchen area we painted glass splashbacks to match the colour of the kitchen unit doors.

In the hot drinks station we UV bonded shelves to a clear glass splashback to help increase storage space.

The use of glass in both areas has helped to create a clean, sleek and modern finish.

- Check to see if there are any cracks and chips, or gaps where the glass meets the frame.
- Carefully measure any damaged panes.

We were recently asked to clad a disabled lift shaft at Liverpool Street Station. Our brief was to wrap the entire shaft in glass - the client's specification was for us to use a diffused toughened and laminated glass.

The result was an outstanding finish!

** Reducing Solar Glare & Noise Levels at Biggin Hill Airport **

Earlier this year we fitted new aluminium windows to one of the control rooms at Biggin Hill Airport.

Our client's key brief was to reduce solar glare and noise levels ... we achieved this by using grey anti-sun glass and acoustic laminated glass in the same sealed unit.

This is an extremely effective combination and works well if you need to reduce solar glare and/or noise levels.

So, the photo of two vans got us thinking...Just for fun 🤣🤣🤣

Collective noun: "Double-glaze" - the sighting of two glaziers’ vans in close proximity, often indicating a high concentration of "transparent" professionalism in the area.

Usage: “I saw a "double-glaze" outside the bakery — must be a big job on.”

Origin: Derived from the ancient art of glaziers travelling in pairs to protect each other from "pane-ful" situations.
