✨🎄Christmas Postage Dates🎄✨

My last postage dates for Christmas 2025:

Any orders placed after those dates are highly likely to arrive after Christmas so if you want to get your presents sorted quickly and efficiently, I would recommend ordering now.

It’s our last Christmas Market of 2025 tomorrow:
✨Kew Sparkle✨
We are all prepped and ready to go, having frantically restocked our worry stones (which sold out completely at Chelsea) earlier this week!
Do come and say hello if you are in the area, we will have lots of fantastic Christmas gifts, and it’s such a lovely market 🎄

It’s non-stop this week - in addition to Chelsea Physic Garden, we will be back at King’s College School Wimbledon’s Christmas Fair tomorrow - Saturday 29th November - this will be our 4th year, and we love it! So we are very much looking forward to being back, even if the weather isn’t looking fantastic 😂🌨️

🎄Final preparations are under way for our first Christmas Market of the year - and it’s a big one - four whole days!
This will be our first year at Christmas Fair and we are really excited - I have no idea if we have got enough stock, but given we’ve been making spoon rests (they always sell very well at Christmas markets) solidly for a few weeks now, I do hope so! ✨

Loving how some of the glazes are coming out on my bud vases, couldn’t resist getting a couple of photos of them in the garden this afternoon.

We had a wonderful time at Barnes Fair the other weekend, thank you to everyone who came by to say hello and everyone who bought something!

It was lots of fun to debut some new pieces in development as well and I now I’ll be refining and perfecting them so I can get them up on Etsy for the autumn! Who needs a summer holiday anyway 😂

What do we mean by 'glaze imperfections'?

Sometimes pieces come out of the kiln and the glaze has reacted slightly differently to usual, for example it is lighter, darker, or even patchy. These are purely aesthetic issues, and have no impact on functionality, but it can mean we don't want to sell them at full price as they aren't consistent with the rest of the range.

And sometimes pieces come out with slightly more significant issues, such as tiny holes, known as pinholes, or very small cracks. These imperfections mean that pieces intended for food use can no longer be used as such (bacteria could get into the hole/crack for example), and so we need to find new uses for them. Luckily my coffee cups make excellent pots for storing your toothbrushes, pens, crafting tools or make up brushes. By finding new uses for pieces we are preventing them going to waste and ending up in landfill - which is always a good thing!

I love the shape of this little bowl, it originally started just as our Galaxy bowl, a lovely little bowl with a stunning glaze, but as the glaze proved more and more fickle, I wanted to find a use for this bowl, and so I did some tests in some of our other glazes, and if I say so myself, it works just as well.

It can be used for dips and snacks such as nuts and olives, for sweet treats, for teabags, for bobby pins or hair ties, for keys, for reusable make up remover pads in the bathroom...for anything really.

I'm so glad that we didn't give up on the shape when the original 'idea' for it proved tricky to replicate, as it is now one of my favourite pieces.
