“Horizons of Risk”
This triptych artwork was created in Cyprus, inspired by the view of the sea and horizon from your guest bedroom during a reflective period in your career as a Sales Representative for a Forex CFD broker. Each of the three panels (60 cm high by 20 cm wide) offers a visual narrative about risk, growth, loss, and choices, using bold colors, textures, and geometric symbolism to capture both the challenges of trading and the broader journey of life.
Composition & Symbolism:
1. The First Panel:
• Dominated by deep blue, this panel reflects the tranquil optimism of the horizon—the place where potential and hope meet.
• The two black marks symbolize validation and the spark of opportunity, much like a promising investment or life decision where all seems calm and full of possibility.
2. The Second Panel:
• A diagonal line introduces red, representing the vivid reality of risk and loss—a sharp contrast to the blue’s serenity.
• A single black textured line plunges downward, embodying failure and complete loss, yet a second line rises almost parallel, reflecting greed, persistence, and overcompensation—a common human response to setbacks.
3. The Third Panel:
• The red intensifies, mirroring the complexity of decisions and the turbulence that follows when risks multiply. Black textured lines weave together like thoughts, doubts, and strategies—symbolizing the internal battle of whether to hold on, let go, or start anew.
• The lingering blue at the top represents the tranquil horizon—a reminder of the calm we seek amidst chaos but also the lessons learned from embracing risk and discomfort.
Inspiration & Message:
Set against the backdrop of the sea and horizon, this artwork bridges the gap between the calm expanse of the future and the turbulence of present decisions. The horizon becomes a metaphor for aspiration: while it appears tranquil and limitless, reaching it requires navigating the vivid, unpredictable waters of risk, failure, and growth.
The red represents the journey—the hard lessons, the resilience, and the importance of becoming a “good loser” in both trading and life. The black lines are the inner dialogue, the weight of choice
